CII President Vikram ******loskar expressed hope that both

New Delhi: The US decision to withdraw export incentives from India has been taken in a "haste" and would hurt the domestic exporters, industry chamber Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said on Monday.TPCI Chairman Mohit Singla said the withdrawal of benefits "will not" make much difference as Indian exports are all geared up to take this challenge.

As many as 1,900 Indian products from sectors such as chemicals and engineering get duty free access to the US market under the GSP, introduced in 1976."Government should provide some supports to products where GSP loss has been significant so that the market is not lost.7 billion in imports to the US given duty-free status, Singal said in a statement. This withdrawal of GSP is only going to inject the estimated additional burden of USD 190 million, which is miniscule compared to Indias overall export to US," he added."The issue of GSP has been done in a little bit of haste. The US has said it will withdraw incentives provided to Indian exporters under its Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) programme with effect from June 5."It impacts both the sides, not only us.Indias top exports to the US under GSP included motor vehicle parts, ferro alloys, precious metal jewellery, building stone, insulated cables, leather products, garment and wires."US importers enjoyed nearly USD 730 million in savings on import duties under GSP programme in 2016 and 2017.

It is also seeking market for its dairy products. He added that rolling back these benefits would impact both Indian as well as US companies. About two-third of US imports are under GSP programme and they are raw materials or components to manufacture goods," ******loskar said. The US has alleged that India is not providing equitable market access to its companies and has raised serious concerns over capping of price on certain medical devices."Even the US was benefitting from the GSP regime, since the intermediary inputs provided by India helped keep its industry competitive.CII President Vikram ******loskar expressed hope that both the US and India would discuss the matter and find an amicable solution to this issue."However, China auto door seal Manufacturers in respect of products having GSP benefits of 3 per cent or more, exporters may find it difficult to absorb the GSP loss," FIEO President Ganesh Kumar Gupta said in a statement. It saved American companies USD 894 million," he said.India was the largest beneficiary of the GSP programme in 2017 with USD 5.The sectors which would be impacted include most imitation jewellery, leather articles, pharmaceuticals, chemical and plastics, basic and processed agri goods, he added. The US demand for relaxation in norms for exports of medical devices and dairy products are non-negotiable for India. He said the programme helps American consumer by eliminating duties on varieties of expensive consumer goods and these benefits are real and tangible. Extension of rebate of state and central tax levies scheme on such products on exports to US will be beneficial."

Gupta said.Commenting on the issue, the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) said India is firmly planning to counter the US decision to withdraw GSP on Indian goods by imposing retaliatory tariffs in the coming months.. It is boosting the competitiveness of US manufacturers by lowering their غير مجاز مي باشدt.The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) said that the US decision would have minimal impact on Indian exporters. It is certainly going to hurt us, especially small item exporters," he told reporters here.

Mahesh Bhupathi takes over as captain for the firs

The fact that the Fayziev will have played the previous day and his veteran partner not having played competitive matches in six months could work in India’s favour but if India are to lose the rubber that was once their forte it could well raise questions over the selection made by the captain.Bengaluru: Eyeing their fourth Davis Cup World Group play-offs in a row, India host Uzbekistan in the Asia/Oceania Group I second round tie in Bengaluru from Friday. Ramk-umar and Prajnesh are the number one and two singles players while Bopanna and Balaji will take over in the doubles competition.Rohan Bopanna (doubles no.Predictable Uzbek sideUzbekistan, devoid of the services and star power of Denis Istomin, named a predictable side with Sanjar Fayziev leading the ranks with Temur Ismailov (406), Farrukh Dustov and Jurabek Karimov. Add to that the altitude, whoever wins will surely earn the result. In the doubles tie which often proves to be the turning point, the Indian pair have their work cut out for them.

The weather is expected to tend towards the sunny side despite evening showers over the past couple of days in what has been an already sweltering summer.Historically, contests between these two sides have ended with the hosts emerging victors.. The head-to-head is two-all, this being the first occasion they meet on hard courts. The home side head into the match with a largely inexperienced side that includes two debutants in Prajnesh Gunneswaran (world no. While Somdev Devvarman has hung up his racquet, India’s most decorated doubles player Leander Paes was dropped from the squad by the non-playing captain on the eve of the encounter.Ramkumar, having taken a set off Felicano Lopez in the playoffs against Spain, will be confident of his abilities while Fayziev’s five-set loss to South Korea’s rising star Hyeon Chung in the last clash bodes well for the world number 376 despite of the result.

The opening day will feature Ramkumar taking on Ismailov in the first match, followed by Prajnesh’s tie against Fayziev. At a venue that saw the hosts almost pull off a victory against Serbia three years ago, Mahesh Bhupathi takes over as captain for the first time without the two standout performers from that game. 287) and Sriram Balaji (doubles ranking 223) while their top singles player for the rubber, Ramkumar Ramanathan (267) will play his fourth tie, come Friday. 24), named ahead of Paes China Rubber gasket Manufacturers (53) as the doubles specialist, remains the lone experienced campaigner as Bhupathi stuck to his word of going in with three singles and one doubles player. Both teams will be missing their top singles player, Yuki Bhambri having pulled out, and with such fine margin of error, the tie may well be decided on who handles the physical and mental load of five set matches, which are quite alien to the singles players.Fayziev will be pulling triple duty as he is also slated to play the doubles tie along with Dustov

With her stock being cleared in just three days

"As we couldn’t make many changes to dry snacks, we took to farming two years back," Jyoti explains how she and other women around her got started. Established in 2015, Women of India Organic Festival is organised by the Union ministry of women & child development, giving an impetus to businesswomen and cultivators in the organic field.Currently in its last leg, the organisers of the festival say that patrons have been walking out of the venue with bags full of exotic products."There are women participants from 29 states in the current edition including many from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Odisha, Delhi, NCR, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya and Manipur, among others places.

It’s not surprising that with the Mumbai instalment in the city being a hit, the organisers of the Woman of India Organic Festival are likely to choose the city to host the festival in coming years too. We aim to give a sparring boost to women empowerment even in the remotest parts of the country," explains Pankaja Munde, minister of women and child welfare. "I am selling organic banana chips, which have been a hit with the people here. "I am selling cotton clothing which has been produced using only organic cotton. And why not? The produce on offer is not just free of chemical fertilisers, pesticides and preservatives, it also has far more vitamins, minerals and nutrients than the ones that come sprayed.. "And we used that produce in manufacturing pickles. Over 300 women entrepreneurs have set up 150 stalls for the city patrons. And while the pure-grown food is a draw enough, the highlight of the festival is its all-female entrepreneur line up. Hence, the idea of making organic pickle. People seem to have really liked my produce. And after successful editions in Delhi, the ministry finally brought the festival to an eager audience in Mumbai.

Good for India; Good for You,’ and true to the word, the organisers silicone rubber Suppliers also aim to provide a platform to millions of women and farmers to learn more scientific information and clear their doubts, with regard to produce. And it’s not just the food, there’s organic clothing available too.Jyoti Kumar of Asha Griha Udyog, who is selling organic pickles, is surprised how people in the city are drawn towards these products.Participating in the third edition of the festival, Rajani Kaushal from Himachal Pradesh, is enthralled with the response. With over 300 women entrepreneurs, an organic festival in the city aims to empower women by increasing their revenue base, as well as educate consumers about benefits. "I sell out about 40-50 packets a day. "My product, fish dry fruit, is selling well. This wasn’t something I expected from people in Mumbai," says a pleasantly surprised Ranjani. As the fast-paced life of the city takes over our lives, many people have woken up to the damage easily available, mass grown food products can have on our health and living. The entrepreneurs, who have set up stalls in Mumbai, have brought with them varied organic products ranging from food, spices, wellness, personal care, home improvement, kitchen compositors and solar products."The Women of India Organic Festival celebrates and promotes women farmers and entrepreneurs in the organic field from across India. With her stock being cleared in just three days, entrepreneur Bharti Patel from Kusumvati Sanstha feels motivated for her next step. From artificially sweetened fruits to pesticide-laden vegetables, health conscious Mumbaikars are fast moving towards organic food products, hoping to consume only chemical-free foodstuff. It is hand spun, hand woven and only vegetable dying printing is used for designs," says Medha, who hails from Gujarat and looks forward to coming to Mumbai again the next time. And as we inch towards living life in a natural way with food, the city is hosting its very first organic festival. That makes me happy to know how well my product is received," she says

The encouraging return to form of opener Shikhar

Steyn had taken 10 wickets in the innings victory notched up by South Africa at this venue five years ago and if he is declared unfit it would be huge blow to the visitors’ chances on a track where the ball is expected to keep low. Both the teams would be a bit rusty going into the game with no play being possible in the second Test at Bengaluru after the opening day’s proceedings following the end of the first Test in Mohali inside three days.Having knocked down the visitors for scores of 184, 109 and 214 in the three completed South African innings so far in the series, the Indian spin attack poses the biggest threat to the visitors in this do-or-die game which they must win to keep the contest alive for the fourth and last match at Delhi.Leading 1-0 in what has now effectively become a three-game series after the washout at Bengaluru, China o-ring India would look to deliver the knock-out blow on South Africa and sew up the rubber in the third Test commencing here on Wednesday.

Though shot out for 201 and 200 in the opening match at Mohali, Vijay — who scored 75 and 47 in the two innings — did not feel the hosts’ batting was a cause for worry.Amla scored a magnificent 253 five years ago to lead the Proteas to a huge score at this ground and lay the platform for Steyn to produce an incisive spell and knock the stuffing out of the hosts with a seven-wicket haul in the first innings.Mishra dismissed de Villiers twice at Mohali and this much-expected battle is going to be watched with great interest.South Africa have flown in the tall Marchant de Lange as a cover for Steyn, but it remains to be seen whether he will take the field without having had sufficient preparations, in case the latter is ruled out..South Africa’s ODI captain A.The Proteas are also faced with the groin injury to their premier fast bowler Steyn, who is doubtful for the upcoming Test after he had sat out of the previous one in Bengaluru.

With the VCA Stadium pitch in Jamtha here sporting a dry look and promising to offer copious turn to spinners, another low-scoring cat-and-mouse contest is on the cards in the penultimate game of the series with India holding the aces because of their superior spin attack.Barring the odd wicket to the medium pacers or to a run-out, the Indian spinners have done the bulk of the damage against a side who have played them with a lot of concern and suspicion.Unless the Proteas batsmen, especially captain Hashim Amla and Faf du Plussis, strike form and take on the Indian spinners to lend support to de Villiers, their proud achievement of not having lost a Test rubber overseas since 2006 in Sri Lanka is under serious threat.South Africa would hope that a return to this venue would help their skipper, who did not score many runs in the preceding T20 and ODI rubbers too.The key to South Africa turning around the fortunes is the willingness of their batsmen to confront the spin threat posed by Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja on a track that could be tailor-made for them.

The encouraging return to form of opener Shikhar Dhawan after a string of low scores with a fluent, unbeaten knock of 45 with seven fours in India’s strong reply of 80/0 to the visitors’ paltry 214 in the rained-out Bengaluru game is another plus. de Villiers has been the one to lead the way with a classy 85 at Bengaluru on his milestone 100th Test match. As such, India have a lot going in their favour even if their batsmen, barring opener Murali Vijay and one-down Cheteshwar Pujara, did not do anything significant in the low-scoring first Test at Mohali. The tourists are already without frontline pacer, Vernon Philander, and his replacement Kyle Abbott played in the rain-ruined Bengaluru game. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra is also expected to regain his spot in the playing eleven after being left out in the second Test and the triple spin attack is again going to test the nerves of South African batsmen.B
